Kristi's session will focus on the nursing home quality improvement work Lake Superior QIN is leading as part of the contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, including recruitment for the National Nursing Home Quality Care Collaborative. Kristi's session takes place on June 4, 2015, from 10:15 am to noon, in St. Paul, Minn.
Kathie Nichols, BSN, RN, CRRN, nursing home liaison, Lake Superior QIN, will speak about quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) on day one of the 2015 Minnesota Directors of Nursing Administration (MNDONA) Spring Conference and Annual Meeting. QAPI is a systematic, comprehensive, active approach to quality improvement and management. Prior to starting a performance improvement project (PIP), it’s important to define the problem or area of focus. In this interactive session, participants will use QAPI tools to focus the efforts of the PIP team by providing clear direction and setting goals.
