Superior Health Quality Alliance (Superior Health) is a health care quality improvement organization that serves as a prime contractor in the Network of Quality Improvement and Innovation Contractors (NQICC). We serve as a bridge between the important goals of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the unique needs of local communities and Medicare beneficiaries.
Our joint venture brings together decades of quality improvement experience, proven practices, and deep relationships across the care continuum. We work alongside hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, health systems, and community organizations to improve care quality, reduce harm, and help Medicare beneficiaries receive the care they need to thrive.
From November 2019 through November 2024, Superior Health successfully served as a prime contractor for CMS’ 12th Scope of Work, supporting more than 4 million Medicare beneficiaries. Today, we continue that work through the 13th Scope of Work (13SOW) across the Great Lakes Region, serving Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
We focus on innovative, evidence-based approaches that deliver measurable improvements in health care quality. Our work is person-centered and integrated across settings and services, with an emphasis on collaboration, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Superior Health’s member organizations have long track records of advancing Medicare quality improvement as Quality Innovation Network–Quality Improvement Organizations (QIN-QIO), Hospital Improvement Innovation Networks, and End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Networks.
