Kathie Nichols, BSN, RN, CRRN, nursing home liaison, Lake Superior QIN, will speak about quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) on day one of the 2015 Minnesota Directors of Nursing Administration (MNDONA) Spring Conference and Annual Meeting. QAPI is a systematic, comprehensive, active approach to quality improvement and management. Prior to starting a performance improvement project (PIP), it’s important to define the problem or area of focus. In this interactive session, participants will use QAPI tools to focus the efforts of the PIP team by providing clear direction and setting goals.

Kathie’s QAPI session is scheduled for April 16, 2015, from 9 am – 10 am CT. The MNDONA conference takes place April 16-17, 2015, at the Arrowhead Resort and Conference Center, Alexandria, Minn.
