Community Coalitions for Improving Care
The Superior Health Quality Alliance (Superior Health) Community Coalitions for Improving Care initiative connects health care organizations. Together, with the common goal of improving health and health care available for all in your community, you will collaborate, share best practices and network with peers in your community.
Coalitions in Superior Health, are provided:
People with substance use disorder (SUD) have a medical condition and need medical care. Yet the language often used to describe people with SUD tends to blame or demean them, creating a stigma that interferes with their opportunity to seek treatment. The Superior Health Shine a Light on Stigma campaign aims to increase respect for and dignity of persons with substance use disorder by asking individuals and organizations to learn about and commit to eliminating the stigma surrounding SUD by changing the language they use.
This compendium identifies external care transitions resources by care setting(s), key points and estimated time commitment for implementation if applicable. Use the guide’s care setting comparison table to jump to a resource, or scroll through resource descriptions identified by care settings in which the resource was implemented and/or researched.
This training will help you mobilize new stakeholders, deepen relationships with existing stakeholders and accelerate progress with your current initiatives.
The assessment provides a quick evaluation of your organization’s alignment with supporting a safety culture.

This package was developed to help you promote your decision to participate with Superior Health Quality Alliance. You may use the tools to announce your participation to the public, your staff, clients/patients/residents, stakeholders and more.
Sharing your participation internally can help build excitement, participation and buy-in. Sharing your participation externally lets the public know your organization cares about them and is willing to dedicate resources to be at the forefront of improving care and their health care experience.
All the materials have been created to allow for fast and easy localization for self-promotion. You may choose to use any of the materials that fit your needs. Simply localize the materials with the appropriate information about your organization in the marked spaces.
