Chronic kidney disease (CKD) involves a gradual loss of kidney function.
When the kidneys do not function properly, they are unable to filter waste and fluids from the blood which are then removed in the urine. Unfortunately, early stages of CKD may not be detected until the disease is more advanced and kidney function has then been lost. Completion of this module will help licensed front line staff support those at risk for and with CKD.
