Speaker:
Dr. James Mitchiner, MD, MPH
Dr. Mitchiner is the medical director for MPRO and is an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at St. Joseph Hospital.

Purpose:
Participants will be able to effectively integrate principles of pain assessment and management into their clinical practice.

Objectives:  

  • Learners will describe the different types of pain
  • Learners will examine current options for pain management

Who Should Attend
We strongly encourage each facility to include the director of nursing along with nursing management and staff.

MPRO (OH-296,8/1/2015) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Criteria for successful completion: Attendance at the entire event and submission of a completed online evaluation form.
