The late release of the Modified Stage 2 Meaningful Use (MU) Final Rule on Oct. 16, 2015, presented challenges to attest to MU for 2015 and plan for MU in 2016. Please join the Lake Superior Quality Innovation Network as we take a deeper dive into the most challenging MU objectives and measures for 2016 – Health Information Exchange; Medication Reconciliation; Patient Electronic Access – View/Download/Transmit (VDT); Public Health Reporting & Specialized Registries. The speakers will also provide observations on the current status and future evolution of the MU program.

Audience

The webinar is intended for those actively engaged in the Meaningful Use program who are familiar with the Modified Stage 2 objectives and measures (Final Rule, October 16, 2015) – EHR Incentive Program/MU Project Managers; Clinic Managers; Informatics Specialists; Clinicians; Quality Improvement Managers and those who administer the program on behalf of their organizations.

Objectives­

  • Understand the current state of the MU / EHR Incentive Program and provide insight to future changes / evolution of the program
  • Learn about the MU Objectives and Measures summary tool
  • Explore challenging MU objectives – eSummary of Care/HIE, Medication Reconciliation, Patient Electronic Access/VDT, Electronic Messaging, Public Health Reporting & Specialized Registries

Speakers

  • Lisa Gall, DNP, FNP, LHIT-HP, Clinical Program Manager, Stratis Health, and Reid Haase, MU SME/HIT Consultant, Stratis Health. Ms. Gall and Mr. Haase have been involved in the REACH program and the EHR Incentive Program since its inception. They are subject matter experts  in MU objectives and measures, providing guidance, tools, and expertise to the provider community.
