Why early recognition and management of sepsis is important and how to accomplish it.

Speakers

Teresa “Teri” Hulett, RN, BSN, CIC, FAPIC, has been in the nursing profession for 37 years, mainly neonatal ICU. She transitioned from the bedside to infection prevention in 2006. In 2014, she joined Colorado Hospital Association where she held the position of program manager for infection prevention. Teri provided infection prevention and patient safety support to all member hospitals throughout the state of Colorado, including leading a two-year, statewide antimicrobial stewardship collaborative with 27 participating hospitals. In September of 2016 she started a consulting business with a focus on infection prevention consulting and education. Teri has a bachelor’s degree in nursing, is certified in infection prevention and control, and is a fellow in the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.
