There are many ways health care providers and communities can prevent harm caused by opioids, including overdose deaths. Join us for this five-webinar series where attendees will learn about several harm reduction strategies their organization can adopt.
Objectives
- Understand how a health system-based alternatives to opioids program can reduce individual and community risk for opioid use disorder.
- Learn about 1-2 painful conditions that can be treated without opioids and examples of an opioid alternative for each condition.
- Explore how shared decision-making in pain control increases patient engagement in the care plan.
Audience
- Providers, nurses, social workers, quality/safety staff, educators and leaders, from clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies and community partners.
