Long term care experts will explain the importance of antibiotic stewardship and define the 7 Core Elements of antibiotic stewardship for nursing homes. Then they will identify steps to implement these core elements in your nursing home and monitor your program’s progress. Speakers
Jane Rogers, R.N. is a clinical quality consultant and works on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Improving Antibiotic Stewardship in the Outpatient Setting and Improving Nursing Home Care initiatives. She has specialized training in infection prevention and control, and served as an Infection Control RN in both the LTAC hospital setting and LTC/Sub-acute Rehab setting. Jane is a member of the Michigan Society for Infection Prevention and Control and holds a degree in environmental science and education from Michigan State University.
Anne Messer, MPH, is a clinical quality consultant and works on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Improving Antibiotic Stewardship in the Ouptatient Setting and Improving Nursing Home Care initiatives. She has received specialized training in microbiology and hospital epidemiology, and holds a degree in epidemiology from University of Michigan School of Public Health.
