The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Quality Improvement Organization program recently established the Strategic Innovation Engine (SIE) to advance health care quality. The SIE’s mission is to identify, evaluate and spread proven innovations to achieve the three-part aim of better care, healthier people/communities, and smarter spending.

The SIE recently announced a Call for Innovative Practices inviting organizations to submit an application on five topics:

  • Managing multiple chronic conditions
  • Engaging patients and families as active members of the care team
  • Coordinating care within and across settings
  • Streamlining patient flow
  • Integrating behavioral health into care

This webinar will provide an introduction to the SIE and the Call for Innovative Practices.  During this webinar, attendees will learn:

  • The role of the SIE in the achievement of CMS’ three-part aim
  • The SIE application and evaluation process
  • The benefits of submitting an innovative practice to the SIE
